Project Partners

The Innovation Ecosystems for Vocational Education and Training (InEcVET) project brings together a diverse range of partner organisations from around Europe. The consortium comprises 8 full implementing partners and 2 specialist support partners. Partners have been selected in pairs with 2 organisations from Ireland, Cyprus, Portugal and Romania who will work in teams to develop the proposed innovation ecosystem with support from a specialist technical partner from Finland and a specialist media production partner from Ireland. The project will run for a period of 24 months beginning in November 2015. InEcVET is funded under the Forward Looking Cooperation Projects measure of the Erasmus+ Programme. 

A brief introduction to each of the 10 project partners is presented below.

Louth and Meath Education and Training Board

Louth and Meath Education and Training Board (LMETB) is a local statutory education and training authority and is one of 16 ETBs in Ireland who strive to protect, promote and enhance the interests of education and vocational training. LMETB is committed to excellence and innovation in the education of young people and adults through the provision of dynamic services delivered by professional staff. LMETB has a strong record of innovative practice in their schools and centres of education with many gaining international recognition for innovation in education. LMETB operates a ‘think tank’ to support planning and experimentation and the Further Education and Training Strategy 2014-2019 requires substantial integration with the world of work with a particular emphasis on engaging with businesses, local employers and industry representatives. LMETB are actively developing policy supports to encourage work based learning as part of the wide range of educational services available in its region. As the principal state education authority in the counties of Louth and Meath, LMETB employs over 2,200 staff.
