Introduction
This module introduces the topic of lateral thinking and creativity to intrapreneurs. As such, it focuses on the practices of lateral thinking, which is the ability to think creatively, or "outside the box“. Whereas the logical ('vertical') thinking carries a chosen idea forward, the sideways ('lateral') thinking provokes fresh ideas or changes the frame of reference.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this module, learners will be to:
- Define Lateral Thinking and iden5fy who benefits from it;
- Define and implement common techniques from de Bono’s Model;
- Use Lateral Thinking techniques to develop an innovative strategy for change in their VET institutions.
